Click on my college magazine cover to read my analysis on Flickr.

I think my magazine is successful in multiple ways. For instance the photo taken stands out to the eye and is big and kind of in your face. It also relates tothe topic of the magazine chicken and is also a picture of a student which relates to the fact it is a college magazine. I also think the use of student language like 'rass' (better explained on Flickr page) appeals to the target audience and suits their reading style. My weaknesses of the magazine is that the colouring on some of the writing is hard to read when next to the background. Also the font is quite similar making it boring to read and dosent stand out in comparison to the picture or the masthead 'Chicken'.

Feedback that I got from my audience is that the magazine is rated about a 8.5/10 which is a preety good mark. The kind of details they liked were; the strength of the picture and its size, the background of clouds which enabled his size even more, and that the magazine itself is quite against the norm in that it is not like conventinal magazines that showcase an average cololege or university student. Critical feedback was pointed at the font blandness and the fact that it was dull and too simple. they also pointed out that itn didnt fit with the background.

I fell that my magazine hits the right target audience as college contains quirky and cheerful people who enjoy sarcascm and enjoy something random ever so often.

Through this process i have learnt quite a few new techniques about photoshop and how to use every function toimprove certain parts of images. Also it has helped me improve photography skills as i already knew the different types of shots but I had never used these techniques in the field till now. I also know what things i would need to improve when I start to create my music magazine and that in need to take more time out in perfecting it.
